General
Where is Sobti Nursing Home?
+
Red Road, Kurukshetra, Haryana β€” 136118. Accessible from across Kurukshetra district and from Ambala, Kaithal, Pehowa, Karnal, and Ladwa. Search "Sobti Nursing Home Kurukshetra" on Google Maps for directions.
What are your opening hours?
+
Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Closed on Sundays. Emergency calls are accepted on 7027362621 on Sundays.
How do I book an appointment?
+
Call or WhatsApp 7027362621. Tell us which department you need, whether you are a new or returning patient, your preferred date, and if you are an ECHS patient or using insurance. We confirm appointments usually the same day.
Is Sobti Nursing Home NABH accredited?
+
Yes. NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals) accreditation means our clinical processes, patient safety systems, and facilities have been independently assessed against national standards β€” not self-certified.
Do you accept health insurance?
+
Yes β€” most major insurance plans are accepted. Please confirm with your insurer in advance and bring your insurance card on the day of your visit.
Eye Care
Who performs the eye surgeries?
+
All surgical procedures are personally performed by Dr. Amit Sobti, MS Ophthalmology, AIIMS New Delhi. There is no delegation to junior doctors β€” every surgical patient is operated on by Dr. Sobti himself.
Is LASIK suitable for everyone?
+
No β€” suitability is confirmed by a thorough pre-operative assessment including corneal topography and pachymetry. We will tell you honestly if LASIK is not right for you and discuss alternatives such as SMILE or ICL.
Is there an age limit for cataract surgery?
+
No upper age limit. Patients in their 80s and 90s safely undergo cataract surgery with excellent outcomes. Age alone is never a reason to decline surgery.
How long does LASIK recovery take?
+
Most patients see clearly by the next morning. Return to desk work within 2–3 days. Driving is usually possible by day 7. Final vision stabilises over 1–3 months.
Is cataract surgery covered under ECHS?
+
Yes. Cataract surgery with IOL implantation is covered under ECHS for eligible patients. Bring your ECHS smart card and a referral from your nearest Polyclinic.
Psychiatry
Is my psychiatric consultation confidential?
+
Completely and absolutely. Nothing shared in the consultation is disclosed to anyone without your explicit written consent. Not to family members, not to employers, not to anyone.
Will I definitely be given medication?
+
Not necessarily. Treatment is decided collaboratively based on the condition, its severity, and your preferences. Many conditions are effectively managed without medication or with medication as a short-term adjunct.
How long does a first psychiatric appointment take?
+
First appointments are typically 45–60 minutes β€” Dr. Neha Dua Sobti takes a thorough history before discussing any diagnosis or treatment. Subsequent appointments are shorter.
Can I bring a family member?
+
Yes. For some conditions β€” particularly elderly patients or severe psychiatric illness β€” a family member's account is very helpful. For others, a private one-to-one first is more appropriate. Let us know your preference when booking.
Dental
Is dental treatment painful?
+
With proper anaesthesia, procedures are not painful during treatment. Dr. Harsh Sobti uses excellent anaesthetic technique and waits until the area is fully numb before beginning anything. Post-procedure soreness for a day or two is normal and managed with standard pain relief.
I am anxious about dentistry. Can you help?
+
Yes β€” please tell us when booking. Dr. Sobti takes a slow, gentle, clearly communicated approach with anxious patients. He explains every step before doing it and proceeds at your pace. Many patients who were previously very anxious find their experience completely different here.
How much does a dental implant cost?
+
Cost depends on the number of implants, whether bone grafting is needed, and the type of crown. Dr. Sobti explains all costs clearly at consultation before any commitment. Call 7027362621 for current pricing.
Path Lab
Do I need a doctor's prescription for blood tests?
+
For most routine tests, no prescription is needed. For specialised tests, your doctor's request is helpful to ensure the right tests are ordered and results are reported appropriately.
How long do results take?
+
Most routine hematology and biochemistry results within 24 hours. Culture and sensitivity: 48–72 hours. Hormone assays: 24–48 hours. We confirm the timeline when you book.
Is home sample collection available?
+
Yes. A trained phlebotomist visits your home at an agreed time. Ideal for elderly patients, post-surgical patients, or anyone who finds clinic visits difficult. Call 7027362621 to arrange.
Do I need to fast before blood tests?
+
Some tests require fasting β€” fasting blood glucose and lipid profile require 10–12 hours. Others do not. We will advise on preparation requirements when you book.
